Dayskipper certifications are internationally recognized for their high standards and are generally completed simultaneously.

The Component Crew program allows you to become an integral part of a crew, acquiring knowledge and understanding of boat operation, from sails to engine, from maneuvers to anchoring. The “Day Skipper” certificate has become the most accredited international nautical license. The qualification can be used for commercial purposes when combined with the STCW courses and a medical certificate. The course aims to develop and define the skills needed to navigate independently and safely, up to 20 miles from a safe port, assuming responsibility for the vessel and crew.

Being able to take this course in a beautiful location like Sardinia is an added bonus. Crystal-clear water, countless bays where you can anchor and spend the night.

The high frequency of windy days allows for pleasant sailing between the islands. Our courses have a maximum of 5 students to ensure the best possible preparation.

Top Top Top! We had an amazing time learning with Elmar & Flavio! Their teaching style is patient, clear, and full of passion for sailing. They know how to build confidence while keeping things fun and relaxed, even when conditions get challenging. Every lesson felt like real adventure, and I walked away with practical skills and a much deeper understanding of navigation, safety, and teamwork on board. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to truly learn sailing — not just the theory, but the mindset and joy that come with it. Flavio is the best cook you’ll ever eat on a boat! 🍝 Thank you, Flavio, Willy and Elmar for an unforgettable experience.

One of the best experiences of my life! I did the RYA Day Skipper course in Sardinia with Flavio. He was very dedicated and passionate about sailing, and I really liked his way of teaching - letting us try, make mistakes and learn from them. I will always remember his mantra "Slow as possible, fast as necessary" The course is quite intense, so be prepared to learn a lot! I’ll definitely keep sailing and I hope one day to be a sailing instructor like Flavio :) Thank you for everything!

Wow, just wow. The week learning to sail was simply fantastic. William is a very present, relaxed and knowledgable instructor. All the days were a fun combination of learning and experiencing the beauty of the area with frequent swims. I highly recommend.

An incredible week in Sardinia. The scenery didn’t disappoint but the best of all was the sailing instructed and guided by William! A truly passionate and professional sailor, and also the kindest and one of the most knowledgeable persons about life at sea I’ve met. His way of instructing, and being a host on the boat, goes beyond expectations. If you consider different sailing courses in the Mediterranean look no further - this is it!

I had the immense honor of training with William Addobatti in Sardinia while completing my Day Skipper license with @topsailitaly ⛵️. My passion for sailing has grown tenfold thanks to his unique teaching style -reminiscent of Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society- blending knowledge with inspiration, passion, critical thinking, and storytelling. In just one week (instead of the five usually required for the RYA certificate), we covered navigation, pilotage, meteorology, and endless hands-on practice. My head is now buzzing with sextants, Fibonacci sequences, the golden ratio, MMSI, cardinal marks, Pogo 36s all swirling through my mind like wind filling the sails 🌪️ yet my heart is overflowing with knowledge and a deeper love for sailing. Between sessions, we embraced dolce far niente: swimming, reflecting, sightseeing, fishing, and simply living the moment. All of this against the backdrop of the magical Costa Smeralda, shaped by Aga Khan’s visionary eye into a true Mediterranean jewel 💎. Sardinia, with its proud identity, reveals itself in the flag of the Four Moors, the traditional Culurgiones pasta, the mysterious Mamuthones masked dances, and the vibrant Sagra celebrations that bring villages like San Pantaleo to life year-round. One visit is never enough — Sardinia stays with you. This journey was far more than a course; it was a fusion of learning, culture, and discovery in paradise. 🌊✨ I now have a sailor family to return to every summer. Grateful to William, his wife Monica, their daughters Silvia and Penelope, and my friends Cody and Vitech for making this adventure truly unforgettable.
